How Puppy Spends His Days

Polka Dot Puppy Dog is much more of  a morning person than I am!  He was waiting for me on the breakfast bar, ready to start the day.

Every day while I went to my conference sessions, he guarded the room.  And watched a bit of TV.
Not sure why he was always so hungry this week....(Thanks, FoodTV)
Other times, he would just lay around listening to headphones.

He must have kept himself busy, as he was already ready for bed at night.

No Puppies Allowed!

Puppy was all badged up and ready to with me to the conference.

However, I told him he should take advantage of the time, and relax on his vacation!

I think he enjoyed himself, but not too much!
We met back in the hotel lobby.

I had some work to do, and Puppy was kind enough to help.

Or at least he pretended to.  (Next time, maybe he should unlock the laptop before claiming to be working!

Puppy goes to the Arena

The Key Note was in an arena.  Over 7000 people were there.  They had metal detectors and hand searched all bags.  Puppy had no trouble at all.
After the metal detector, they took us up to the second floor by elevator.  The Elevator was attended by a friendly gentleman that made sure Puppy was safe in the elevator.

The seats presented a little trouble for Puppy, though.  He kept getting folded up in them.
There were plenty of screens so we had no trouble seeing the presentation.  The facility is the Amalie Arena, home of the Tampa Bay Lightning!

Pre-Conference Training!

Morning came entirely too early! I had to drag Puppy away from the mirror.  I don't think he'd ever seen one so tall!  Then we headed across the street to pre-conference training.

Training was held at another hotel.  We checked out the lobby and found some pink flowers decorating some of the tables. A great spot to hang out before class.
The class was wonderful!  The instructor was very knowledgeable on the topic.  (Inventory Setup, Management, and Reconciliation for Dynamics AX)
He was kind enough to allow Polka Dot Puppy a little better view.  Puppy kept up through the FIFO and LIFO configuration discussions, but I think I'm going to have to review the Weighted Average Date options with him when we're back at home.

Bedtime for Polka Dot Puppy Dog

After a long travel day, Polka Dot Puppy Dog and I made it to the hotel.  The view from the 18th floor was awesome!  We stayed right across from the Tampa Convention Center, so it was convenient for me.

The hotel floors were all open in the center, overlooking the lobby, far below.  Puppy stayed away from the railing.

After watching a little bit of TV (Yes, Puppy stole the remote!),
we crashed for the night --
ready to start pre-conference training the next day.

Polka Dot Puppy Dog's Big Adventure!

I've continued the tradition of taking a stuffed animal with me when I take a business trip without the girls.  Sometimes the little friend is more prevalent in trips than others.  The girls pick out which animal, although I encourage them to select a smaller one!

This year, one of Pink Bunny's friends got to take a trip with me to Tampa.  Polka Dot Puppy Dog is one of a pair the girls received way back as little bitty girls. I don't believe they were ever formally named.

Puppy Dog hung out with me in the line to check in for my flight.  I was flying United Airlines.  When I got to the front and handed her my boarding pass to check my luggage, the Agent said, "This says you're flying United."  I confirmed that I was indeed doing so.  She kindly pointed me to the next airline desk over, and politely advised I had to check-in at the desk of the airline I was flying.  I looked up and realized I was at the wrong airline!  Maybe puppy should have led the way!

Puppy and I successfully made it to the gate, waiting for our flight.  After not realizing which Airline's counter I was at, I decided to let Puppy handle the boarding pass.

We flew through Houston, then on to Tampa.  It was very exciting to arrive in the airport of a new city!  The Brookstone Kiosk Associates didn't even mind when Puppy got up on top of their display shelves to take a picture with the city name.

Thankfully, our luggage arrived without incident.  We hung out by the baggage claim road, waiting for our ride to come take us to the hotel.
Puppy waited patiently by the suitcase.
